Hi I'm Bryant

I'm from Utah. I am going to school to become a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I swam competitively for roughly 10 years and I absolutely love the water. During the summer I help coach a youth swim program. I spent 2 years in Brazil as a missionary and I loved it. I am currently attending school to become a High school Health/Math teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I have been a member of this church all my life. But I continue to be a member not because of my family, but because I have come to know that it is true for myself. I came to know that this church is true through many different experiences in my life, but two of them are defining moments. The first experience came when I was about 12. I was doing the dishes while listening to a CD of religious hymns from our church. I was listening to the lyrics while I was standing at the sink and this overwhelming feeling come over me. I could feel very strongly that what I was listening to was true. That was a very special moment for me that helped me through my teenage years. My second experience happened while I was in Brazil as a missionary. I was reading The Book of Mormon for the first time in Portuguese, the language I was learning to speak. The night that I finished The Book of Mormon, I knelt down in the hallway to say a prayer and ask God if The Book of Mormon really is true. Now I believed that The Book of Mormon is true, but I didn't really know for sure until that moment. In that moment when I asked my Father in heaven if the Book of Mormon is true, I felt at peace. I knew in my heart that it is true. I know that The Book of Mormon is true scripture. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I currently attend a singles ward. This is a congregation made up entirely of young single adults. I work with a small group to plan activities for the congregation to participate in on Monday nights. It is really fun to be able to find ways for us to interact in such a way that we can get to know one another better. I also have the opportunity to visit several members in their homes in order to get to know them better and to share a short spiritually uplifting message each month.
