Hi I'm Katie Henrie

I grew up in Utah. I love music and dancing. I have lived in Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the Salt Lake Valley, where the blue sky stretches out before me. Raised in the Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me a firm foundation to build my life upon. I recently returned from Perth, Australia where I was serving as a full-time missionary. I love my mission!! I know who I am. I know God's plan. I'll follow Him in faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a gospel centered home and went to church with my family each week. We always went to church. I didn't necessarily "choose" to go until I moved away to school. It wasn't until I made the choice that I really began to love going. I went so I could learn the Lord's gospel and feel His unending love for me. I know he wants me to be there, to learn and to share what I learn with his other children.

How I live my faith

Life can be a routine. Life can also be spontaneous and at times chaotic. I think it's important to have a little bit of both. A balance, if you will. My life for example is pretty planned out at the moment. I love having a plan. It helps me stay organized and get things done, but I recognize the need to be flexible and yielding to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. This is how it is to be a missionary. Everyday we wake up and follow our morning schedule. As we go throughout the day, we are constantly praying to have God's spirit with us and when the promptings come to change plans, we submit to those promptings and go!! It is imperative that we have the Spirit with us all the time, that is why we stay away from mainstream music and other entertainment, reading poplar magazines and New York Times Best-sellers. I love being a missionary and seeking the Spirit at all times, in all things and in all places. I wear a name badge everyday. It has my name at the top, and just below it says "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". It is one of the most special things for me to have the Saviour's name next to mine. It reminds me that this is His work and He is my Master.
