Hi I'm Josh

I was raised in Utah. I'm a college student, a husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Working and going to college full-time doesn't leave me with much down time. When I am able to find a spare minute or two, I like to spend them with my wife! We've been married for two years and have both been in school during those years. When we're together, we enjoy running, going on hikes, playing board games, and spending time with our friends and family. I'm a big sports fan as well! Football, baseball, and basketball are all sports I love to watch and play. Both of my parents coached various high school sports as I was growing up, so athletics have always been a part of my life. I've been trying to teach myself to play the guitar for a number of years now. I don't really know what I'm doing, but it's fun and helps me unwind when I need to.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is very important to me, and that is one of the reasons that I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe that, thanks to the Savior, our families are able to live together forever and not just during this life. I believe that by living the teachings of Jesus Christ, I am able to live a much happier and a much more fulfilling life. I try to strengthen my faith in the Savior by reading about Him in the scriptures, doing the things that we are commanded to do, and communicating with God through prayer. I know that by doing these things consistently, I am able to feel God's presence more in my life and have a better relationship with Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I find a lot of satisfaction participating in service projects around my community. Part of what I do for my church is organize various service activities for the members of our congregation. It's so fun to see how willing people are to help each other, even with their busy schedules and lives. Those people we offer service to are always so grateful and I love seeing how we are able to help them. When I was 19 years old, I was able to serve a two year mission for my church. I lived in southern Chile for those two years where I was able to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and give service to the people there. It was a great experience where I was able to help many people and see their lives change as they started to live the teachings of Jesus Christ.
