Hi I'm CJ Valeriano

I'm from Hawaii. I'm Filipino. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. Anything and everything in this world amazes me. I love to dance, sing at the top of my lungs, and laugh at all the random moments that I experience. I believe that a simple smile goes a long way. I'm currently a college student but taking a break to serve in the Guatemala Retalhuleu Mission for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I've never really known for myself why I follow this gospel until I went to college, on my own, where I really depended on our Heavenly Father for strength. I know that sometimes we don't know what is ahead of us and we are thrown into a whirl of confusion but Heavenly Father knows each of us personally, by name, and he has a bigger plan for us which he will help us achieve. This gospel makes me truly happy knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and will never lead me astray. I have felt true joy and confidence that this is how I want to feel every day. I know that I am never alone, that He will pick me up during my hardest times as I go through my trials in life.

How I live my faith

I try to attend and participate in social activities such as dances, sports nights, game nights etc. where I am able to bond more with the other young single adults in the church. I have the wonderful opportunity when asked, to teach a lesson on Sunday, as well as help organize these social activities for my fellow peers. I try to live my faith through example- by the way I talk, dress, and treat others.
