Hi I'm Seth

I grew up in Texas. I am currently in school majoring in radiation therapy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing and watching sports, basketball in particular. I really enjoy reading as well. I always have to have something to read at the kitchen table whenever I am eating. I go to school right now for a degree in radiation therapy, which is learning how to give radiation treatments to people diagnosed with cancer. I enjoy spending time with my family when I have the chance to visit them, they are very important to me. Basically right now I live the life of a poor college student but have enjoyed the journey so far.

Why I am a Mormon

I think there are many reasons why I am a Mormon. To me, one of the biggest reasons is how it makes me feel. Life can be hard, but I have found a lot of comfort and peace in difficult times through trying to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I was not always an active member of the church and after a time could tell that there was something missing in my life. When I finally started participating again, that empty feeling faded. I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in that it can help me be closer to Him and have a relationship with Him. While I don't understand the reasons behind everything that happens, being a member of the church has helped me trust in the Lord, follow Him, and look forward to all that He has in store for us.

How I live my faith

In the congregation I attend I am responsible for working with the missionaries in teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ with and working with them in learning more about Him. Other responsibilities include teaching a Sunday School class at church for new members of the LDS church and those who are interested in learning more about the Mormon church that outlines the fundamentals of our faith, going to appointments with the missionaries to visit those who want to learn more about the gospel, and helping other members of the congregation share the gospel with their friends and family.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, Mormons do not help other Mormons only. We are expected to love and serve all of our Heavenly Father's children in ways that we are able to. It does not matter if we share the same faith or not. In both the Bible and the Book of Mormon Jesus Christ teaches the importance of serving others and loving them even if we don't see eye to eye. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

We should have Faith in Jesus Christ. He is the author and finisher of our faith. The foundational principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ is to have faith in Him. Without faith in Him, we cannot learn and grow to be more like Him. Show more Show less
