Hi I'm Heidi

I am a cowgirl that chases my dreams. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am young lady, who is the fifth child of eight. I graduated high school then went Brigham Young University Idaho were I majored in Animal Science. I recently returned from serving the Lord 18 months in the Everett Washington area. I am a person with little words that likes to live life to fullest. My life philosophy is to do what I love! I love seeing people light in their face change as the find they peace and direction that the Jesus Christ invites all to know.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon! I have not been a disciple of Christ my whole life. That I have learned through my life through trials and tribulations that I have drawn myself to have faith in Jesus Christ. The "rules" that might be labeled as the Mormon lifestyle; I have found to be to empowering. They are not inhibitors, it allows us to have control of our body so we can make good choices. I know Heavenly Father had the gospel restored throught Joseph Smith who is a prophet of God, just like Abraham, Moses, and Noah. I know the church has the fulness of the gospel in these latter days. We have the ability to use our free agency to follow the example of Jesus Christ. My words may be short but its simple; truths are easier to understand when simple. I am a Mormon because I love the gospel, it has been a sounding board throughout my whole life.

How I live my faith

My faith is shown by living by example. Not all my friends are of the same belief as me. They know where I stand, what my principles and values are. They tend to want to know why I have such high standards, its because I have high expectations out of life. I help with the children in my ward. They are glowing example of the love that Christ has for us. They always put a smile on my face. Sometimes they give me the hardest times when trying to teach them a lesson, but in all reality it gives me opportunities to become a better learner myself.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

While attending church at a young age, I was told that we have a Heavenly Father, but it didn't sink in. A song we would sing called "A Child's Prayer," made me really think if I knew that. The lyrics go as:" Heavenly Father, are you really there? And do you hear and answer every child's prayer?" I would sing this song over and over again, not having an answer to my prayers, but I felt comforted as I did. Overtime I knew it was true, and that he loved me, because I am a child of God.
