Hi I'm BrieAnn

I grew up in central Utah. I love learning and knowledge. I belong to the LDS church, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school. While there I participated in Soccer, Softball, Basketball and Track where I lettered and was a varsity starter for four years. I also love woodworking, singing, acting, arts, and studying. I enjoy languages and I'm currently working to perfect my Spanish. I absolutely love reading. Excepting Romance, I read everything but fantasy and sifi are my favorites. I am the oldest of three children and my entire family belongs to the church. I have been called of God to serve a mission in the Washington Vanvcouver Mission Spanish Speaking. I love serving here. I'm a social fun loving person. I love talking to people and playing games. I love the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing hiking, rock climbing and rappelling.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I have been surrounded by people both submersed in this gospel and others who live however they want. I've seen the choices they make and the consequences that inevitably follow. Many consequences could have easily been avoided by adhering to the standards that this church holds itself to. Many problems that people in the world face I do not understand because I have been raised with the 'rules' of the church that seem incredibly strict to the outside world. To me, they feel like common sense. And I could not imagine hurting my body by drinking, smoking, coffee, drugs and other substances. I hate not being in control of my body and not being able to move and think to the best of my ability. Next I love the peace and comfort I have because of the knowledge that I have gained from personal study of all God's scripture and from my classes of seminary( in depth study of the scriptures by a teacher). From these I have found incredible insights to problems in my life. I have also come to understand that God and Jesus know me for me and understand me on a personal level. They love me and I am so grateful to know that I will never ever be alone in any trial that I go through.

How I live my faith

Right now I have been called to serve a mission in the Vancouver Washington Mission. Everyday I'm talking to people and telling them about the church. This is my calling and my duty right now to let as many people as I can know about this amazing knowledge that we have and to bring the joy of the gospel and following Christ to everybody I can. And I'm doing it in spanish, its crazy because without God's blessings and helping me everyday it would not be possible.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

BrieAnn
We believe that God is our Spiritual Father. We all are spirit sons and daughters of Him. He loves us and wants us to be happy. His purpose is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man (Moses 1:39) God is omnipotent. He knows everything that has happened, is happening and will happen. Every step that Satan ( The Devil) tries to take against him God is a thousand steps ahead of him and God will never fail. He is sacred and to be held in the highest respect. This is why we do not believe in using His name as an expression of any feelings (taking the Lord's name in vain). we believe that He and Jesus Christ are two separate beings. But they want and think the same way. They both have bodies of flesh and bone as tangible as ours and we are created in Their image. Yet because of their resurrected bodies, they can be everywhere, see and hear everything. Show more Show less
