Hi I'm Chris

I live in California. I love to run, play music and laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play soccer, guitar and to run (not simultaneously). I joined the Church when I was 13. I studied accounting at Brigham Young University and after working in public accounting for a few years switched career paths and now work in the finance group at a real estate investment company.

Why I am a Mormon

In the most simple terms, I am a Mormon because I feel that the Church is true. I know that the principles taught in the Church come from God and I know that I am blessed and happiest when I keep the commandments. I joined the church when I was 13. At the time I was living in Salt Lake City with my mom and step dad who were not members of the church. All of my friends were Mormon and I spent basically all of my free time with them at their houses. I loved being with them and I loved being in their homes. It felt so different with them in their homes than it did in mine. I came to realize over time that what felt different about their homes was the Spirit. My mom and step dad are wonderful people and took great care of me, but Christ was missing in our home and I could feel it, and I wanted to have Him in my life. I took the missionary discussions at a friend's house and the rest is history. I served a mission in Mozambique and am so grateful that the Church is a part of my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to represent what the gospel of Jesus Christ teaches, be it with my family, at school, work, on the soccer team, or anywhere I find myself. I do my best to serve others. At church I am in charge of our weekly Monday night activity where we get together to fellowship and strengthen our friendships and faith. I strive to maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity and be Christlike to everyone I meet.
