Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in Las vegas, and Spanish fork Utah. Ive been called on a mission to San Jose Costa Rica. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love soccer and snowboarding in the winter. I pretty much love all sports and anything fitness.I also love art, guitat, and singing (music!). I spent a year in Iowa going to school and playing soccer, then submitted my mission papers from there when the mission age was changed. I've been called to San Jose, Costa Rica and couldn't be more excited to serve!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born a Mormon. I guess technically I wasn't, since you can choose to become a member when you're 8 years old and have a chance to be baptized. But I was born into a Mormon family. Even when I was eight and chose to be baptized, and so officially a member of the church, I didn't understand the meaning of being a Mormon until much later. As I've grown up, I've witnessed the blessings of following Christ. I've been blessed with a loving family and it comforts me to know that we are here on this earth for a purpose, and if we pass the earthly test by following CHrist in all things, we can be an eternal family, even after death. The world can be a sad, scary, place, with broken families and so much evil everywhere. But as a Mormon, I know there is hope for everyone to have what I have. That's why I'm so excited to share the message of this gospel with anyone that will hear it. With this gospel, you can separate yourself from the world and feel the only true happiness that exists on earth; the happiness that comes with truly believing that our Father in Heaven has a plan for us to return to Him, and that through his Son, Jesus Christ, we can achieve this by using the greatest gift ever given to mankind - The Atonement - and by following Christ's footsteps. I continue to be a Mormon because this is the only true gospel on the earth, with the only true power of God manifested in the Priesthood. I love this church and Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. I can't wait to share the happiness this gospel brings with people.

How I live my faith

Ever since I was young, our church has had organizations for each age group for girls and boys. It has been fun participating in different activities and doing fun things, like attending girls' camp. In high school, I was on student council and got to know so many awesome people. It was a great experience as we had to plan many big events for the students and were able to meet lots of different people in fun environments. Then, when I spent a year in Iowa for school, I had the opportunity to teach lessons on Sundays to other girls my age in my ward at church. We would talk about different principles of the Gospel and how we can be better people.
