Hi I'm Parker McMullin

I'm a geek, programming is my thing, I love reading, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since I was little, I have taken things apart and put them together again, but in different ways. This drive is still in me today, and I regularly find myself taking things apart and studying them. My dreams and goals are to learn anything and everything, teaching others as I go. My wife, whom I love dearly, can often be found rolling her eyes in jest when on a subject that I know something about. I served a mission for the Church to share Christ's gospel to everyone. I love the people of Oregon that I served, and my heart will always have a place there. These experiences have made my life Christ-centered and I never want to deviate from this.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, so the doctrine of Jesus and His teachings has never been seen by me as strange. This does not mean I was satisfied with such base, yet profound, knowledge. The rest has been learned in church meetings as well as on my own, all through study, prayer, and confirmation. I know that since the beginning, our Father in Heaven loves us and desires to see us happy. He wants us to grow and develop characteristics such as His. I know that I was born into the perfect family for ME, and the love and nurture I found there was all because of Him. I am blessed to have this upbringing, and knowing that, I choose to show my appreciation for all that He has done for me by loving others and bettering their lives. We all need to know that God loves us, and that His Son, Jesus Christ, is our Savior and Redeemer, to lift us up in joy and love for the entire world. My hope is to be an instrument in His hands to share that with His children. The Church of Jesus Christ is the structure of God's hands, having all of the ordinances and blessings of the gospel, and being used through each and every member to bless the lives of all. As my knowledge increases, my testimony of the Spirit, my Savior, and also of my Father in Heaven grows.

How I live my faith

Although I strive to be perfect, I fall short. This does not get me down though. I do my best to bolster others and myself to maintain high standards and simply "do the best I can." This emulation of the Savior is pragmatically impossible, but my hope is to be "perfectly repentant." Through Christ's grace I can find peace and happiness.
