Hi I'm Richelle Sutton

I grew up in Idaho and moved to Utah. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that He knows us personally and loves us.I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and I am serving a mission for the church. I love to act and to read. Music has always been one of my favorite things in the world! I can't go a day without singing some sort of line from a song. I also love to make people laugh and life just seems a little better if you can make someone else happy as well. Through my life, slowly but surely, I have been able to gain a sure testimony that Jesus Christ died for our sins and because of his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane he is able to understand everyone of our sorrows and pains, physically, mentally, or spiritually. I want to help others discover this as well, and I want everyone to know the happiness I have been able to gain through my faith in Christ and in this church. It has truly blessed my life and I know it can bless yours as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. For a long time, I really questioned my own beliefs; if I really felt it was true or if I was just relying on my parent's faith. It really took a lot of patience on my part and a lot of quiet soul searching, with help from my Heavenly Father, to realize that I had a seed of truth planted inside me. Through hardship and grief, pain, suffering, and even through the happy and joyful times my little seed of faith grew into what I know now is a true belief that this is the true church. So many things just seem so right and I love the feelings of peace and happiness that I have felt through this gospel and through the members of the church. I don't have to worry about my purpose in life or what will happen when I die because I know the plan that God has set out for me and I know that I have help every step of the way. To put it simply, I just feel happier to have the gospel in my life and I want to share that happiness with the people around me.

How I live my faith

I really like to attend church every week and when I do, I feel more invigorated, like my spiritual fuel stop before starting the next week. Last year I had a great time serving the girls in my dorm while I was in the women's presidency of the church. As a presidency, we spent a lot of time helping the girls under our care by giving service, sending notes of encouragement, and showing our love to them. I also enjoyed visiting them from time to time and teaching them about the gospel.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Richelle Sutton
There's a popular song that I really like and it emphasizes that everything denotes there is a God. For me personally, the thing that tells me most that there is a God is when I send my thoughts up to him and I get a confirmation that He is listening to me. Show more Show less
