Hi I'm April

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I love to lift weights. I'm a convert to the Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student attending BYU. I am the oldest of two children. I'm married to my best friend, Mitchell. My hobbies include photography, family history work and a lot of weight lifting! I also love keeping journals. I love meeting new people! I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am also the only member in my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I grew up in a family with no religious background. Most of my friends were LDS, but I had no understanding of what that meant. As I reached my first year in junior high, I became close friends with a young man in my ward. We talked often and sat together on the school bus. One day he handed me a small note. It contained the basic beliefs of the Mormon church. He began inviting me to youth church activities and not long after that, I started to meet with the missionaries. I decided I wanted to be baptized. But, by the wishes of my family, I needed to wait until I was 18 to make that choice for myself. When my 18th birthday came I was able to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church! I received the gift of the Holy Ghost and my life has never been better. I have never been so happy! My happiness has continued to grow as I have been sealed to my husband in the holy temple for time and all eternity. Having a Christ-centered relationship has blessed our lives immensely. I know that God lives! His Son, Jesus Christ, was sent to the earth to atone for the sins of all mankind. The Atonement is real. I love reading the scriptures - especially The Book of Mormon. I love that I feel close to my Heavenly Father when I pray. I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am for a forgiving Savior. I was washed clean of every sin and transgression when I was baptized. Repentance works; it is real. Without the Atonement, we would be nothing. I'm so grateful for eternal families! I love the Gospel and I wouldn't trade my membership for anything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in church activities and fulfilling church callings. I also attend the temple and do work for the dead there. I've graduated from seminary and earned my Young Women's medallion through completing Personal Progress. I also try to make scripture study a regular part of each day.
