Hi I'm Kevin

I'm serving a mission in Tacoma, Washington. I love band and chess. I'm an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving a mission in Tacoma, Washington. I play the trombone and love all things related to band. I am a major fan of Drum Corps International and follow it very closely from year to year. I am planning on majoring in music in college. I love playing chess as well. I was the president of the chess club at my high school for 2 years and tied for 3rd place in 11th grade in the state high school chess tournament. My parents got a divorce when I was about 12 years old and I have lived with my mother and my little sister ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. I have been living in it for my entire life. Because of this, I never had to discover the church and find out that it was true. By living the standards the church has established, I gradually built up a testimony that the gospel is true and that I was in the true church. Instead of a short conversion through missionaries, I have been gradually converted throughout my entire life. I have seen the Lord's influence many times in my life. He has helped me to overcome trials and to strengthen others when they are going through hard times. Through living the gospel, I have come to a knowledge of the truth inside of each principle the church teaches. I have seen these principles bless not only my own life, but the lives of many others, and I know that the teachings of the church will bring happiness when they are lived.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by serving a full time mission in which I help others to learn the gospel principles that have helped me throughout my life. I always strive my best to support my leaders and to fill the callings I have been given. I do my best to always share the happiness my beliefs have brought to me with others around me. When opportunities arise to share with other people how the gospel has helped me in my life, I try to take advantage of them by relating to the other person and helping them how I can. I always try to comfort and console people who are going through hard times and help them however I can. On occasion, this has also meant sharing hopeful gospel principles with them, such as the Plan of Salvation in the event that one of their loved ones had recently died.
