Hi I'm Brianne Blaisdell

I am a world traveler. I am an activist. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who has taken 18 months away to serve a full-time mission. I have worked in the non-profit field and fought for the rights of people across the world. I love to write, to sing, to play music, and to take photos. I love to be outside, to visit beautiful places and see new things.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, I went through a time when I wasn't sure what I believed. I had an experience that brought me to realize the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I was filled with the most incredible joy I had ever experienced. Through the last 6 years, that joy has stayed. I have felt God's hand in every day of my life. I have prayed intently to know of the truth of the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith, and I know I have received my answer. This is where I have found truth and happiness in my life, and my relationship with God is stronger now than it has ever been.

How I live my faith

I now serve as a full time missionary in Baltimore Maryland, teaching people about the restored gospel and helping them to come unto Christ and make positive changes in their lives.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Brianne Blaisdell
The prophet on earth today is President Thomas S. Monson. He receives revelation from God to guide the entire church, just as Moses, Abraham, and Joseph Smith. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Brianne Blaisdell
We believe that those who do not have a chance to receive the gospel during their lifetime on earth will have the opportunity to receive the gospel after death. Because of this, we do saving ordinances such as baptism in behalf of deceased persons. However, these people choose whether to accept or reject the ordinances, and are not forced into membership.
