Hi I'm Micah

I grew up in the San Diego area. I'm a happily married father of 3. I enjoy disc golf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a happily married father of 3. I also own and operate my own wood flooring installation company. Between family and work I stay pretty busy these days. When I do find free time I like to play disc golf with friends and family. We even on occasion travel to other cities and states to play new courses. I also enjoy playing and watching most other sports. ( heavy on the watching ) I'm a Padres, Chargers, and SDSU Aztec fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church and grew up going every Sunday. As a kid I enjoyed learning about Heavenly Father and Jesus and everything I was taught just seamed to make sense. My home was always a safe, warm place to be and now that I'm older I attribute that to the gospel and love that was taught there. As I grew into my teenage years I started to want to do other things. I questioned some of the guidelines taught by the church and assumed some of them were more for other people who maybe needed a little more help but someone like me could get by without them and still be just as happy. I was wrong. I didn't realize it at the time but looking back I wasn't as close to my family and wasn't even close to happy. My parents throughout this time still loved me very much and continued to support me all the while praying and hoping I would see the path I was on wasn't what my Heavenly Father wanted for me or anybody. Then one day I just woke up. I saw I wasn't happy. I knew the teachings I had been taught were the only way I was going to achieve true happiness this life. I now understand why we learn the same simple principles over and over and over. And no matter how simple they may seam they are for everyone and are required for true happiness.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings to serve in the church through out my life such as working with young kids teaching, on up to assisting leading the mens group. I currently work with the missionaries assigned to our ward in helping them find people to teach and helping other members share what they know with their friends and family. But by far my favorite calling I've had is when I was called to be a full time missionary in the Florida Tampa Mission. I lived 2 years in the Tampa area teaching and serving the people anyway I could. I don't think a day goes by where I don't think about someone or something that happened during my time there.
