Hi I'm Micaela

I'm from Logan, Utah. I'm a hiking enthusiast, a history fanatic, and an avid explorer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a sophomore at Brigham Young University, majoring in Exercise Science. I someday hope to become a physical therapist. I love finding new places to visit and try to take everyday as an adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, and I've always been actively Mormon. That used to be the only reason I was Mormon. But through the past few years, I've discovered that I'm a Mormon because I know that this church is His church, and that it's true. I know that Christ suffered in Gethsemane for me because He loves me. I know that I am a child of God, and that I have a divine potential. I know that when sealed with the proper authority and power, families really can be together forever. I know that I am a child of God, and that he loves me. I know that the prophet we have today is called of God. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon because this church is His church, and it's true.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve in the Russia Samara mission. As I've been preparing to serve, I've learned that even the simplest acts of obedience, can show the largest amounts of love for our Heavenly Father. I live my faith by trying to read my scriptures and pray every day. I try to be kind and patients with my siblings. I try not to judge those around me, and I try to love everyone. One of my Mom's favourite scriptures (it's becoming one of my favourites too) is Moses 5:6 "I know not, save the Lord commanded me." I do my best to obey all of Heavenly Father's commandments, even when I don't understand why. I live my faith by putting my trust in God, believing that he will not lead me astray, and that I will be rewarded for my efforts.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is wonderful! Sometimes it can be hard to see my friends living differently than I do, and I sometimes I feel like I'm missing out. But as I make righteous choices and live the standards of the church, I find that I have more joy and happiness than I could ever imagine. Being a Mormon gives me joy. I find happiness in living the way that God wants me to live. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by prophets in the ancient Americas, who were inspired by God as they wrote. Just like the Bible, the Book of Mormon is a witness that Jesus Christ lives and that He suffered for our sins and our sorrows. As you read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, you can know that the men who's stories are told in it, are really prophets of God, and that it really is true. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

While there are many things a missionary could talk with you about, the underlying theme and message will be that Jesus Christ is our Savior! They will teach you about Heavenly Father's plan for you and your family. They will teach you how you can know if this is Christ's church. Most of all they will you teach you about the atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
