Hi I'm Rachel

Creative writing is my jam. I am a social zealot with a stutter. I am a sister missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a sister missionary in the Great California Bakersfield Mission, serving from September 2015 to April 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

During my teenage years, I allowed my speech impediment to handicap me from my happiness. It dictated every part of my life. I realized that once I focused less on the world's view of me and more on how God saw me as his unique daughter, my life changed. As I tried my best to follow the Savior's example, I have come to know my true self. We all have individual talents and beauties that can bless the lives of others around us. It takes courage to show the beauties we have and to be confident in what our Father in heaven has given us. There are many characteristics the world will deem as flaws, but Heavenly Father made us in His own image. We are perfect in His eyes. When we strive to see others in the same way, the world can change. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ can help us reach this goal.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the Great California Bakersfield Mission. Every day I have the chance to seek out those in need of Christ's love and teachings. I have seen and felt miracles in this work. My faith has been fueled through these experiences as well as through the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the scriptures. I have come to love serving others by sharing the truths of the restored gospel. Understanding that we are here for a divine purpose gives us the needed perspective to move forward. That is what I have found in my own life thus far!
