Hi I'm Dean

I grew up in Utah. I'm learning to make video games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I consider myself to be positive, I don't let things get me down. I'm currently serving a Spanish-speaking mission in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I enjoy making and playing video games and playing board games. I also enjoy playing any sport, especially Ultimate Frisbee and Soccer, I'm not very good at many of them but it's always still fun. Growing up I wasn't involved with church at all. Only recently have I started going to church again and it has changed my life and strengthened my testimony. When I return from my mission I hope to attend University of Utah to pursue a degree in video game design, although lately I have been considering going into medical research.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe families live together forever. I serve people as often as I can because I want everyone to know friendship and love. When I serve someone, I can feel their gratitude and it makes me very happy; it gives me a sense of purpose.

How I live my faith

For the past 2 years or so, I was one of the youth leaders for the young men 16-18 years old. It taught me a lot about leadership, and it helped me to be more involved in church. It helped me to make new friends who are all amazing people, they are the ones who have made me the person I am today. I try to always live my life to be a good example to those who see me. I keep the standards I have set for myself and when ever I falter or make a mistake, I pick myself up and work even harder to make it up.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Growing up, I never really got to know my father. We were always around each other, but we never really talked. Our relationship was not very friendly either. I was 13 when my dad passed away. I had not been involved in church at all at the time, and I had been wondering if I would ever see my dad again. My mom made me attend a church class, I did not have any interest at all until I learned about the Plan that our Heavenly Father has for us: that we can return with our families in peace and love forever. Now I attend church regularly and my testimony about families has been strengthened. I know that I will see my father again someday, and we will be able to live together forever. Show more Show less
