Hi I'm Cody

I believe in Jesus Christ and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in southern Utah. After graduating high school I served a two year mission for my church in California. I met my beautiful wife in college and 10 years later we have three amazing boys. I have been battling rheumatoid arthritis for the past couple years, which has taken its toll on my family, but that doesn't stop us from doing the things we love. We enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and playing sports with my boys. I work for a power company in southern Utah as a journeyman lineman, and have been for the last nine years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in this church from a long line of Mormons dated back from the 1800s. I wasn't always active in this church. When I was 17 years old my grandmother passed away from Alzheimer's disease. Now she had been sick for almost as long as i remember her. We attended her viewing before the funeral with family members, and as I looked at her in that casket I told her with my heart that I loved her. At that time a feeling came over me that I could not deny, if I were to describe it, it would be a burning sensation inside of me, and tears of joy filled my eyes. I knew she was present and she loved me back. Years later I became at the age of 19, which the choice was given to me weather or not I would serve a mission for this church. So I read the Book of Mormon and in that book there is a promise that if you ask God with real intent and with faith in Christ, you will know with a surety that this is true. I did, and what I received was that of the similar feeling I felt on the event of my grandmothers passing. Tears filled my eyes, and I felt the love our Heavenly Father had for me, and also Jesus Christ. I do know this is true I have felt it to be true. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and it goes hand in hand with the bible. God is no respecter of persons, ask and you will receive.

How I live my faith

In the church, I at times help my wife with teaching her five year old class, and attend the gospel doctrine classes. I also visit families in their homes to assist them when needed, and provide any kind of service when available.
