Hi I'm Michael

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the proud dad of two wonderful boys- with a precious girl on the way. My family is my passion, and I love to be with my sweetheart and children. I'm working towards a graduate degree while working full time. I worry about providing for my children's future but am enjoying our experiences right now too. Life moves at such a fast pace, but I enjoy slowing down to be with friends. Group games are a favorite, along with sports like racquetball or basketball. Life is more exciting with others around!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is no idle decision for me. The choice has shaped my life in a variety of positive ways, especially in my home life. I still remember vividly the moment as a teen when I gained a powerful personal impression that Jesus is my Savior. That moment has led to even more experiences that have strengthened my knowledge of why I'm here on Earth and what He wants me to do. While I'm not a well versed scholar, I have continually studied the scriptures and can testify that the Bible and Book of Mormon are the words of God spoken through His chosen servants. The Book of Mormon has been a priceless treasure in helping me further my relationship with Jesus Christ, as it is another witness of His divinity. One of the greatest blessings that have come from my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is being sealed to my family. This means that I know my marriage and family relations will continue beyond this life. Also, knowing that there is a true Prophet called of God on the Earth is so comforting. We have received wonderful guidance and counsel from God's "mouthpiece", which is especially reassuring in these turbulent last days. I know that EVERYONE will be blessed from learning about the restored church and gospel of Jesus Christ. My life, while still full of obstacles and challenges, is more focused and anchored during the storms of the world because of being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Working with the Youth has been one of my favorite opportunities. I have taught them for the past 3 1/2 years. We met together for weekly activities and occasionally for large outings. I also enjoy visiting a few families in our congregation each month to see how they are doing. Likewise, I enjoy having someone do the same for my own family.
