Hi I'm Malynn

I am a young wife and mother. I love spending time with my family. I know this church is true. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I am a young woman who has a wonderful, hard working, and loving husband. We welcomed our first child, a baby boy, into our hearts and home earlier this year. I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom, and my dream has come true. I love it! I'm still working on my cooking skills, but they have much improved since I was first married. I love spending time with my family that lives close by, and taking walks with my baby. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I am the 4th child out of 5.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad was not a member before meeting my mother. He joined shortly after they got married, so I was raised in this Gospel. For me, I never doubted if any of it was true or not. I just always believed and followed the example and lessons I was taught at church and at home. I remember the night I gained a testimony of Jesus Christ though. The night I went from just believing, to KNOWING with a surety that he is real and alive and that he did suffer for my sins. I was 13 and working on difficult homework at my desk in my room. It was very stressful. I was wondering how was I ever going to understand the material and was becoming very discouraged. I remember all of the sudden feeling like a big warm blanket had been draped over my shoulders, and I started crying. I knew that the Holy Ghost was filling me with the love my Savior has for me. He was comforting me. I went and knelt at my bed and wept. I prayed and all I could say was "I know. I know." In that very real and very important moment, I knew with all my being, that Jesus Christ is real. That He loves me. That my Heavenly Father loves me. And that they are always there for me, with arms outstretched, to help lift me in my sorrows, to smile with me in my joys and accomplishments, to bring me back when I have gone astray. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know I am here, at this time, for a reason. I have purpose. I am part of Heavenly Fathers plan. I know that if I follow Him, it will lead to eternal happiness and joy with the ones I love. I am a Mormon. I am a woman of faith. I am a Daughter of God. I will forever stand as a witness that Jesus Christ is real, that Heavenly Father loves all His children, and that I can return to live with them again if I am faithful and live by their words. I know my Savior and my Heavenly Father love me.

How I live my faith

Since I was about 12 years old, I made the commitment to read the scriptures and pray daily. Now that I am married, my husband and I still read and pray together daily. I live this Gospel by heeding the words and council of the church leaders, studying the scriptures, and praying. I strive to come closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior by living the commandments and praying earnestly to receive personal revelation for myself and my young family. It's the small and simple things like scripture study and prayer that help me stay close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. My job, or calling, in the church, is to work with the children in my ward. I help plan activities for the children, and help them participate in Sunday meetings specifically designed for them to learn about the Gospel and Jesus Christ. Another part of my calling is to make sure the teachers of the children have the supplies they need in order to teach their class. I work with 3 other ladies who work more directly with the children. I am the secretary.
