Hi I'm Rachel
I'm an editor who loves to read. I love to bake. I married my best friend, and I have a forever family. I'm a Mormon.
I'm part of a wonderful, big family, and I'm the youngest of 9. I'm also an aunt to 14 beautiful nephews and nieces. I'm fresh out of college, and I graduated with an English Linguistics degree. I grew up with a life filled with music: music lessons, concert band, marching band, and choirs. I love music's ability to connect so many lives, and I especially love its ability to touch my own heart. My favorite band has always been the Beatles, from the moment my dad first played them for me on his record player. I love to cook whenever I have a chance, and I hope to be as good of a cook as my own mother one day. My love of reading inspired my desire to become an editor, and I love helping authors fine-tune their work and reach their potential! I love to travel to new places, meet new people, and experience life outside of my own sphere. I've been married for a year now, and it has been the happiest year of my life. I can't wait to be a mother and add to our happy family. I believe that life is happiest when it is spent around loved ones and doing what makes you blissfully joyful.
I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy and because I know that it's true. I was blessed to grow up as a Mormon, but my own testimony has bloomed and matured throughout my life until I knew without a doubt that this is the true church. I feel a warmth in my heart when I pray to my Savior, and I can feel his love for me. I know that I am a daughter of God, and I know that he knows who I am. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me so that I can live again with him one day. I know that I can live with my family forever, and I know that I married my husband for eternity, a length that extends far beyond "til death do us part." I believe that God set a plan for us so we could find happiness and joy in this life, and in the life to come. I'm a Mormon because it's true, and the truth brings me undeniable peace and comfort.
In my life, faith has never been a piece of clothing I pull out only on Sundays and forget about the rest of the week. I try to live my faith each and every day by loving the people around me, taking the time to help those less fortunate than me, and striving to draw closer to God. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to have friends of multiple religions who have strengthened my faith and belief in the Savior, and I know that we can help build each other up. I conduct music at church each Sunday, and I love picking out hymns that I think will touch people that week. I pray every morning and every night to talk to my Father in Heaven, and I feel him with me, supporting me through my daily life. I feel his love for me and for other people when I learn to love them as he would want me to.
