Hi I'm Taylor

I am the oldest of six children. I read obsessively. I love to ski, play soccer, and do anything outdoors.

About Me

I recently graduated from high school and have decided to serve a full time mission before heading off to college. I have been called to serve in the Mexico, Mexico City Northwest Mission and am so excited to serve the people of that city! I love to read books of any variety, but especially historical fiction. My favorite things to do involve anything that are outdoors and include skiing, waterskiing, hiking, camping, fishing, playing soccer and football, and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a very strong knowledge that God loves me. Every good thing in my life has come from God because I am his daughter and he loves me just as much as my parents here on earth do. I have felt his love in every aspect of my life and in more powerful ways than I ever thought was possible. I know that God's love for me is incredibly personal and he loves me for exactly who I am, even when I fail to follow his commandments. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior died for me. Jesus Christ is the only person who knows exactly what I am going through at all times. He suffered for me, so that I would not have to suffer alone. Even during times where I feel lonely and turn away from his loving arms, he still reaches out to me and gives me comfort when I turn to him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the commandments of God to the best of my abilities. God has blessed me with the ability to choose whether I want to follow him and his commandments. He has given us many different commandments that are meant to help us find happiness in life and I show God that I love him by obeying his word. This means that I make a lot of life choices that the world sees as being outdated. Even though these aren't necessarily the most popular life choices, I know that by living the commandments that God has directed us to follow, I am incredibly blessed.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

As missionaries, we share messages about Jesus Christ. Our central purpose is to "invite others to come unto Christ." We try to help individuals and families understand what they need to do in order to obtain an eternal family, and return to live in the presence of their Heavenly Father one day. Show more Show less
