Hi I'm Liesel

I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it. I am a Child of God. I love him and he loves me!

About Me

I'm 19 Years old. I sing everyday and every minute I can. I'm the youngest of seven, and I'm currently serving in the Washington DC North Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God loves me. I know he came here for me. He has blessed my family numerous time. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for Him. I'm a Mormon because he has made miracles happen right before my eyes. My dear friends....several years ago, my brother passed away. The night before he died, I remember asking Heavenly Father with all my heart not to take him. As a little nine year old, I knew that God would hear my prayer. My brother lived through the night. That next morning I knelt down next to him and whispered into his ear that he could go now. I kissed him on the cheek and he was gone within the hour. I know that the only reason that he lived through the night was because God heard my prayer. I am a Mormon because I know God hears and answers our prayers and I know He watches out for us. He loves us. I know that to be true.

How I live my faith

When I was a little girl my family and I had some trials we had to face together. Through those scary times in my life, my family and I had a chance to come closer together and be closer to our Father in Heaven. It was so hard to understand why things were the way they were but when everything came down to it... we all learned to have more faith. Life wasn't meant to be easy. We must be tested and tried in order for us to become stronger. When we do all that we can for the Lord, He will bless us in return. That's what faith is all about....believing in something with all your heart, not knowing the outcome, and yet believing that Heavenly Father will provide a way for you that best fits your needs. Through these hard and trying times my family and I have participated in several community service projects. One project was helping at our local Food Bank. Another was a project where all the churches in our community put together money and bought several diesel truck loads of wood. It was then split by service groups in our community then distributed to single moms and older folks who physically couldn't get wood for themselves. I helped load and distribute wood. Heavenly Father has given me a really great gift. He gave me the gift of communication. Kids from all kinds of situations came to me in time of need. I was able to give them guidance, knowledge, and a loving heart. My faith in the Lord grows when I give service.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. His birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the many prophecies contained in the scriptures concerning the coming of a Savior. He was the Creator, He is our Savior, and He will be our Judge (see Isaiah 9:6, 53:3-7; Psalms 22:16-18) So to answer the question. Yes! we do Believe that Jesus is the Christ and through Him we can all be saved and one day live in his presence.. Show more Show less
