Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Canadian. I love to dance. I am going on a mission for the church to the Phillipines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the LDS church. I am a simple girl. I love to dance, eat chocolate, read, spend time with friends, and teach how this gospel can help everyone. I love this gospel and my Savior. I am on a mission for the Church in the Phillipines, Cavite Mission and love every minute. I have completed one year of University for general studies and when I get off my mission I will be going to University to be a teacher and I will focus on teaching special needs children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because it is true and I cannot deny it. I was raised in the church. When I was in my mid-teen years, my parents moved away from the city that I had grown up in so my mom could finish school. It was a very hard thing for me and I didn't handle it well. While I was in the process of moving provinces, I spent some time at my grandmothers house. I started to read my scriptures every day. One night while I was at my grandmothers house, I started reading my scriptures and I couldn't stop. While reading a part about the Savior, a warmth flooded into me that told me that I am a part of His church and His church is the only true church on the earth. He told me through the Holy Spirit that The Book Of Mormon is true and he loves me because I am his daughter. That knowledge has stayed with me and has kept me continuing to live this gospel that brings so many blessings into my life. He knows that I am not perfect but continues to love me and bless me because I am his daughter and He loves all of his children to a degree that none of us can comprehend and that always makes me smile and makes getting through each day easier.

How I live my faith

I am a daughter of God and He loves me. I do my best to let that show in my smile and in my countenance by being friendly, doing service, and sharing my knowledge. I read my scriptures and pray and pay ten percent of my income to the church. I am not perfect at these things, but I do my best. I am preaching the gospel in a foreign country in another language. I also work hard to love everyone I meet and hope that I get better at it everyday. I am further living my faith by being on a mission.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Because no human being is perfect. We sin and make mistakes. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ, or Atonement of Jesus Christ, provides a way for us to become clean and return to live with God after this life. Show more Show less
