Hi I'm Mike

I have lived in a small town all my life. I raise cows and chickens, love sports and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sports freak!! I love Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Basketball, and well the list will go on and on. Some other things I like to do is go fishing with my family and well just have a good time out in the woods. One thing that I have really enjoyed is well learning how to redo a house and well make it look a 100 times better! There are just so many things I like to do. And well things that I want to learn how to do. Some of the things I like to do in my spare time is well hang with friends, listen to all types of music. I also like to do photography, I'm not that good but it can be fun. Some of the things i want to learn how to do is well first how to fly a plane, rebuild cars and well many other things. There has been times in my life that I have fallen and well been separated from god and well felt like no one was really there and that I should just give up on life. But through what our savior Jesus Christ did for us, I was able to get back up on my feet and well now I'm serving him full time as a missionary in the wonderful state of South Carolina! There really is no better feeling than serving the Lord and just Doing what he has Asked us to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have came to find out that it is true. Even though I was born in the Church and raised by good parents, There was doubts that I had and things I didn't really believe. So that led me away from the teachings of the church and well I did some things that I should not have done. And well I kinda feel like I turned my back on god... And really it got to a point that I felt like there was no going back from what I had done. And that no one really cared about me or what I did or who I was. I felt alone, out of hope and useless. There were times that I thought about just giving up. But there came a point in my life that I wanted what I had back. So one night I offered up a prayer and well I cant say I was forgiven just by asking him in that prayer, but I started to feel his love again. And well that feeling of gods love is the best thing in the world. It was a long and hard processes to get back to what I had once had. One of the main things that I had to know if I should be in this church was to study the Book Of Moron, and well ask God If it is true. Well after studding and asking him he told me that it truly is the word of god, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (AKA Mormons) is his church and that we do have a living prophet on earth to lead and guide us to help us out. And I know he talks to God and then tells us how to best stay away from Satin. I know that this is the only place that I could feel that peace and happiness that I now feel. And that's why I'm a Mormon. Because I asked god through Prayer and he gave me an answer because he Loves me.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is well As James says "be a doer" and well I try to be a doer of the word. I Enjoy helping out the people in need and serving others. One of the easiest way to be a doer is well going to church on the Sabbath and well along with that is studying the words of god and praying to him. The basic of things are always the easiest thing to do and yet many people don't remember that everything starts with the basic. With sports, with school and even coming to know God. As of right now I'm serving a mission and inviting people to come to know God. There is so much joy in helping your fellow brothers and sisters with what ever they are going through. Whether they are temporal or spiritual. The best way to show god your love is to follow the example that Christ has shown us. It can be hard at times, but as we follow his example we can feel of his love and peace that all of us want. So I just live my faith my well just doing it. Trying to do what Christ would want or have me to do.
