Hi I'm David Lee Schoen

I have grown up in Texas. Im an Athlete. Why settle to be a Superhero if you can be a missionary in the Spain Barcelona Mission.

About Me

I play a wide range of sports. I wrestle, play football and baseball. If it involves competition I'll do it. I was born and raised in the Dallas metroplex. My Dad is a detective and firefighter. My mom is a teacher. I grew up with 2 brothers and 1 sister. I am the oldest child. I grew up always being active in my church. I am not afraid to go out and make friends. I like to be known as the fun guy in my group of friends. I was a varsity athlete all through high school. I attended a rather large high school. So there have been plenty of times to invite friends to church activities. Just before senior year I was heavily recruited by the United States Marine Corps. My family and I had done our research on it and felt like it was a smart decision to join and then go serve a mission. But before I signed my papers we decided to pray on it and we felt like this wasn't ready for me at this time. Then about a month later the Church released its new Missionary age and I had just turned 18 a week before so we knew that this was meant for me. I am serving a Mission in Barcelona Spain.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gets me going I am active "Faith with out works is Dead". I get to be with my family forever and I get to serve my lord My God every day of my life. I get to act and be he person I want to be without having to worry about.

How I live my faith

I think the best way that I show I live my faith is being a person who serves others. My Bishops have always looked to me as the guy to go make our less active quorum members feel at home. I have always been known to help students at my school understand our Church better. If any students or teachers had any questions they could ask me. I am a Ward Missionary so I rub shoulders almost everyday with the missionaries that serve my ward. I teach a beginners class for new members of our Church. Which is difficult being 18 trying to teach people who are older than me but it has really helped my communication skills.
