Hi I'm Austin

I have grown up in many places but Wyoming is my home. I am glad to have the gospel in my life and I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up moving around a lot because my dad was in the Navy. We had to move every two or three years. Before moving to Wyoming to finish up school my sophomore year, I'd already attended 9 different schools and lived in Virginia, Wisconsin, Northern Virginia, Wyoming and Washington. I played lacrosse for about five years, and had to give it up when I moved to Wyoming. I ended up playing football, basketball, and track my last three years in high school. I lived with my grandparents in a small town in Wyoming while my family stayed in Washington. I am going to be serving a mission in Chihuahua, Mexico for the next two years. After I get back, I plan to attend either BYU Provo or University of Wyoming.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a mormon all my life. As I've gotten older and studied the scriptures, I've learned to love them. For the last four years I attended a seminary class during the school year for one hour every day. This class in addition to my church attendance helped me to realize that the Gospel will make me happy. I am thankful to have a living prophet who provides guidance.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week for three hours. We worship together in sacrament meeting for about an hour, then we go to a bible study class called Sunday School for another hour. The last hour is spent with other men in my church studying more about the gospel. I visit several families in my ward each month. This is called hometeaching. I will be serving a mission for the next two years, serving others and teaching them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
