Hi I'm Derek Halle

I grew up in Missouri with 11 other siblings. I love Theatre, ROTC, and Choir! I am a Morman!!

About Me

Growing up as the youngest of 12 kids wasn't the easiest, but oh how I loved it! Looking back now at all the memories I'm ever so grateful to be apart of this big family. Being the youngest you had the opportunity of watching all other siblings before leave. It wasn't to bad at first but it just kept getting harder and harder as time past. Now the time has caught up to me and I'm finally the one leaving. It's a weird feeling but also super exciting! I'll miss being in Theatre and Choir and being able to show the fun crazy side of me and then also miss the crazy competitions with ROTC. Running to and fro, throwing rifles, getting inspected, all the great thrills during the drill meets. But even with leaving those behind I will always have my talents and abilities with me. I can take what I have learned and use them in my everyday life. I will still be running around to and fro, always getting inspected on both inside and outward apperence, sometimes might stop and sing!! Life has so much instore for me and I'm excited to see where the Lord will take me! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have never really had to answer the question "Why am I a Mormon." I just thought to myself, I am because I am. But if I had to answer it would be "Because I Want To Be!!" I would never change that fact about me. I will always be proud to say I am a Mormon. "I know it, I live it, I love it!" My purpose as being a Mormon is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. My whole life I will try in fullfilling this purpose.

How I live my faith

I try to live each and everyday following in the Lords footsteps. I pray each morning for his help and for his guidence. I imagine what it would be like if Jesus Christ is standing right next to me watching everything I do. Now I don't know about you, but this makes me a be lot more righteous and is way easier to make the right choices! Living in faith is easy when doing what is right and having the right friends and atmosephere around you. But sometimes yes, I step out of the Lords footsteps and start going in the wrong path. Its hard sometimes but I know that Heavenly Father is always just a prayer away, and with his help ALL things are possible. He can pick me up and put me back on the strait and narrow path.
