Hi I'm Jenna

I grew up all over the state of California, I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Da Saints and I am learning so much about he love of our Savior Jesus Chist. Happiness has always come easy to me, probably because I have the best parents and siblings in the world. We are not perfect by any means but we do know how to enjoy the small moments. Growing up was full of walks on the pier and family trips to Disneyland. In middle school I decided I loved to sing and play the piano. High school on the other hand was full of performances, Drama club and swing dancing. Community College came next and it was a lot to take in. I didn't mind moving to Texas with my family the following summer. After that I moved to Utah where I worked in the mall and attended the LDS Business College. This school was PERFECT! I found amazing friends and had the perfect teachers to help me grow. Now serving as a missionary I can see Gods plan for us truly is a happy one.

Why I am a Mormon

Attending the Mormon Church was always a part of my life. My grandparents were Mormon, my parents were Mormon, and I was Mormon. When I was 13 or 14 I remember driving by our church building and for the first time I noticed other congregations and denominations along the same street. This sent me into an internal panic and I thought "How do I know I belong to the right church?" It felt as if my world was falling apart. I knew God was real because my childhood was full of prayer and answers. Remembering this I knew what I needed to do. I went to my room closed the door and knelt down on the floor. I sang a hymn to calm my nerves and then I started to pour out my soul to God. Immediately I was surrounded in a feeling of pure light and love. I knew then and there that I was in fact a Daughter of God. I knew without a doubt that He loved me and that the traditions of my fathers were righteous ones. I opened my scriptures after this prayer and I knew it was the words of God speaking to me. I no longer doubted and though life has thrown its curve balls at me I never felt the need to doubt again. I know God loved me and I know I am right where he wants me.

How I live my faith

My faith building process started in my youth. I was Baptized wen I was 8 years old and I went to every activity that I possibly could. I'm pretty sure that foundation of faith and love for the simple songs and stories of the Gospel is why when I turned 18 I was called as a Primary teacher. The first class I had was teaching 9 year old kids the Old Testament. Before I was called as a teacher I spent my high School years attending an early morning seminary class. This is where I studied the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants. Because of all that preparation as well as regular church attendance I loved teaching that 9 year old class. My dad had always been a primary teacher. His example and assistance in that class is something I will never forget. Later when I was 21 I was called to teach a 5 year old Sunday school class. This time I was living away from my parents and I learned that through trusting in God, He can make weak things become strong.
