Hi I'm Ali

I lived on an island for six months. I think skirts are pretty comfortable. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a bit of a dabbler. In trying to find one thing to be really good at, I've found that I'm best at doing lots of things. I swim, run, dance, sing, read, take pictures, lift weights--you name it. My favorite thing about all of these though are the people I get to interact with. I've met so many amazing people and love spending time getting to know them!

Why I am a Mormon

As I turn my life over to God, he leads me to places much greater than I can find on my own. He knows the desires of my heart, and as I do what's right, he shows me how to reach those desires, and usually in a better way than I would have thought. When I read the scriptures, pray, and strive to keep the commandments, I learn that God does live, and he loves me. He wants me to find peace and joy. I've come to know that The Book of Mormon is true and that it gives you answers to all your questions. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this earth. I know that as we use the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can find forgiveness and peace in our lives. I know that we can change and become the best people possible so that we can live with God, Christ, and our families again someday.

How I live my faith

Service committee member has been one of my favorite callings. I get to help plan ways that our ward can help serve our community. We've played games at a rest home, and helped clean up a park to name a few. There's no better way to feel happy than through serving! I also loved my time serving as a Ward Prayer Co-Chair. My partner and I led our ward in prayer each Sunday night, inviting the spirit as we prayed for the needs of everyone in our ward. I'm most excited though for my calling to serve as a missionary for this church in Alaska. I'll get to devote all of my time to God through loving and serving his children there, and teaching them about the Gospel.
