Hi I'm Helena Camacho

"Life is so good, and it only keeps getting better."

About Me

I grew up in Dallas, Texas with family. I have three amazing brothers who can entertain any crowd! Some fun activities I like include riding dirt bikes and surfing in Southern California. I am a college student, hoping to major in Speech Pathology to work with young children with behavioral problems. I am a currently serving a mission in Portugal and am loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because I can see that my older brother Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father know me on a personal level that is unmistakable. I recognize blessings in my life that no one else would really know that I needed. If ever there was a time of doubt, I could feel that if I did not pray, I was distancing myself from something that was a part of me, and that was the Gospel. I know that the Gospel of Christ is what makes this church true. The teachings and love for Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father are undeniably true because, who else should I devote so much of my love to than to those who gave me wonderful life. I know and believe that modern day revelation through a prophet is crucial so that we are not left alone on this earth. I pray that I can return all the love that is given to me which I am eternally grateful for! Families mean the world to everyone, so I am blessed to have mine be an eternal one. I'm a Mormon because the Gospel provides a 'give and take' love.

How I live my faith

I recently taught elementary aged children music including church songs in English and Spanish and also taught a class for the children that were preparing for baptism. The times I taught the kids would be the best moments of my life, they're just so loving and could always make me laugh! I look for opportunities to work with the youth because they are such inspiring and strong kids. I also go out and and teach with the sister missionaries regularly.
