Hi I'm Melinda

I began as an Air Force brat, grew up in Idaho. Lover of arts, a wife and mother of four. I am a Mormon

About Me

Currently a stay-at-home mother of four, I find several ways to entertain myself outside of motherhood. I love to listen to music of most kinds and to make music by singing and playing the piano. Photography is a fairly recent love. I used to be involved in community theaters and look forward to a time I can do it again. My children, all under 8 and all two years apart, do their best to keep me busy in the meantime.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member. My family supported me in - and often were a part of - my decisions to get special blessings, to be baptized, to be married in the temple. That support has been such a blessing to me! I have had many times when my testimony was strengthened. Most memorable are: the first time I finished the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true; receiving blessings of health from my father and, later, my husband; preparing for and visiting the temple; simple prayers for peace; courting my husband; the birth of each of my children and the knowledge that they had just arrived from the presence of our Heavenly Father. They may have been small moments, but each has been moving to me and proving to me of Father in Heaven's love for me, personally. It is important to me that my children also feel this love and recognize it.

How I live my faith

At church, my calling is to teach in the primary! Specifically, I teach the children turning 6 this year - they are such a great group of spirits! I also look forward to visiting with other sisters and being spiritually uplifted, as well as sharing uplifting thoughts of my own. I have been part of multi-denominational choirs and love sharing my talent of music and my love of the Lord.
