Hi I'm Robert

I love music. I play drums. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school and plan on going to college after serving a mission. I've had two jobs in my life. The first was working as a DJ. The second was working as a lifeguard and swimming instructor. I love sports and have participated in football, baseball, basketball, soccer and swimming. I've also tried tried mixed martial arts, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and longboarding. I love the mountains and anything that you can do in them like rafting, hiking, camping, and mountain biking.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born, my mother was a member, but my father was Catholic. During my lifetime I've attended meetings with a few different denominations and, and while I've always walked out of the meetings with a good feeling, there was always something different about the Mormon church. Every church had great messages but I always felt something different and better when I attended the Mormon church. ChurchIll also always loved the Book of Mormon. Every time I open that book, I get happy and I feel so much love. Because of this feeling, I really wanted to be baptized into the LDS faith, but my father didn't share the same feelings. A few weeks before my eighth birthday, my mom and I started to pray really hard that my dad would have a change of heart. I remember thinking, "All I want for my birthday is to be baptized." When my birthday came around, my dad told me that I could be baptized and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Even now that I'm older and I start to have doubts that maybe this isn't the true church, I get on my knees and I pray to have confirmation that this church is true. Every time I receive an answer and every time I can't deny that I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to serve my community and those in my church. I've helped many members of my church move into or out of the area. I've helped people to finish projects in their yards. I have worked with the youth groups and helped out at youth conferences. I've also taught lessons to both youth and adults about this church and our beliefs. I am working towards getting out on my mission as well to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to all of those that will accept it.
