Hi I'm Morgan Burningham

I am proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a blended family of 10 kids. I love being around people and to see people laugh. Another thing I do is make memories with people by taking pictures and having fun with them. My goal is when I meet someone, is to know that they are loved and to know someone is always here for them no matter what. I like to make people feel good about themselves and that they are worth something. That is why I am serving in the Oregon Salem Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the Church, then while I was in High School, that's when I left for a few years with my family. I thought I would have been better off without it. One day, my moms friend called her up and asked if she wanted to go to the Temple with her. My mom said she couldn't and explained that we fell away for a time. She invited us to come to her church, and to give it a shot. My mom asked us if we wanted to come, something inside me told me to go to church, that it will be worth it. So that following Sunday some of us went to church and have been going ever since. Ever since then, I have been learning so much about how much our Heavenly Father loves me, no matter what we have done in the past or even to reject him, we are able to come back to him no matter what. We can always come back to him his arms out welcoming us back home. I really didn't want to serve a mission but, I was at a rock concert when I knew I needed to go. Ever since that day I have never looked back and I have my new life to start on. Being on a mission its helped me with my faith to help it grow and to know more that I am truly a daughter of God, I have a purpose here. We have trials to make us strong. I know this is the true Gospel, I have a Savior that loves me, I have seen Him bless me and my family each and everyday, and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is pretty much living the gospel, showing it by example. I had a hard time doing it before, trying to be perfect. I learned it doesn't work that way. We are able to work at it. It takes time, it won't happen automatically. Its like when you plant a seed, you take care of it. Or when you are working on a sport. Takes time and practice. That's kind of how I see my faith now. Like a fire that needs to be fed constantly.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Morgan Burningham
No, Joseph Smith is the man that was able to bring back Christ church back with the Book of Mormon. He was able to bring the truth out when most people were lost and confused just as he was. He was reading in the bible the Epistle of James 1:5 which reads " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth unto all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." He had pondered about it, then decided to go into a grove of trees where he was alone, knelt down on his knees and started to offer his heart and soul to God. Then someone struck him down with a dark power as if trying to stop him from being able to know the truth. Just then something amazing had happened. "...Just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which it fell upon me. It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by mane and said, pointing to the other - 'This is my beloved Son, Hear Him.'" Joseph smith History 1:16-17 We worship God and His Son Jesus Christ, they are the true ones that we are able to be thankful for them, we are greatful to Joseph for being able to bring this church and as well as the Book of Mormon out so we can know and learn the teachings of this Gospel.
