Hi I'm Connor Duncanson

I'm from England - But lost the "thick" accent! I love music. Been a Mormon my whole life, and I love to serve!

About Me

So...I'm from Peterlee, Which is the North-East of England. Lived there my whole life. Went to secondary school, then onto Sixth-Form College and graduated when I was 18 yrs old. Music was the highlight for me at school. I love to play the piano, trumpet and I sing (well, I like to sing at least). I also love to compose music. I have the best parents and two sisters; one older and one younger. After I have served my Mission in the Canada Edmonton Mission, I want to attend BYU and study music.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe and know it to be true. It didn't come all at once, but over time, the knowledge came and I came to understand the principles and ordinances of the Restored Gospel. One of the main reasons why I am a Mormon and what resonates as truth to me is that God continues to call living prophets. The bible states that the foundation of Christ's Church must be built upon Prophets and Apostles, and the Latter-Day Saint Church has such a foundation of Prophets and Apostles, with Jesus Christ at the head, giving continual revelation to the living Prophet to lead the Church. The Church was restored by a Prophet called Joseph Smith, and to me, that makes sense. Why would God stop using Prophets? He wouldn't.

How I live my faith

I have grown up my whole life with the Gospel. My parents spared me no pains in teaching me the restored Gospel. I have always known the Gospel to be true. I can not remember when that knowledge first came, but through faith, study and prayer, over time I have come to know for myself that the message is true. I live my faith by doing what God wants me to do, such as serving a mission. Even growing up in a small Latter-day Saint congregation in my home town of Peterlee, I had to live my faith by being the best example I could be as I was the only Mormon in my School. I live my faith by serving and helping others who need my help.
