Hi I'm Holly Hudgens

I grew up in California. I love to swim competitively, play water polo, read and sketch. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read anything I can get my hands on and have fun with my friends. I like to ride my bike around the lake and spend time with my family too. I am currently serving a full time as a missionary in Houston Texas

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and I love it. I have chosen to remain Mormon not because my parents made me, but because I love the principles it teaches. The teachings of the Church are ones that ask us to be righteous not only for our own happiness, but that we may live with our Father in heaven again. It gives me a standard on which to base my life, a path that I may follow to everlasting joy. My life isn't perfect, and things are still hard, but I know I can rely on my God, my fellow church members, my friends and my family. As I was about to graduate high school, I began having anxiety attacks, ones that would leave my huddled in a ball and sobbing. They often sprung from feelings of inadequacy, loneliness, or uncertainty. I didn't want to tell anyone because I was afraid what they would think of me. It got to a point where the only thing I could do was call out to my Savior. The moment I did that, everything changed. I could feel Christ's arms around me, not taking away the pain, but telling me it would be ok. I was able to open up to people and ask for help. Through my trial, I have been able to have better relationships with my friends, family, and my Savior. I would not trade the knowledge I have about the gospel, the Plan of Salvation, or the Restoration of the gospel for anything!! Because of the gospel I know who I am, a child of God; I know where I came from, a loving Father in Heaven; I know how I can return to Him and I have a desire to help bring them all to the fold of God.

How I live my faith

I have taught a variety of age groups during Sunday School, volunteer regularly, and live as Christ would have me live. I am currently serving a full time mission and loving it! I read the Book of Moron everyday and find the examples of Christ and His doctrine. I am trying my best to use the amazing gift of His Atonement so that I can experience true happiness in this life. I know that it comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ, from having charity, the pure love of Christ, and from serving others.
