Hi I'm Aaron

I was born into a military family. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am preparing to serve a full time mission in Cancun Mexico. I have recently graduated from high school and look forward to my life ahead of me. After my mission I would like to pursue my interest in the medical field which is something that I have been interested in ever since starting high school and taking classes such as Anatomy and Biomed. I also have such a love for music. I played the trombone in high school but have not played since graduating. I tried to teach myself piano because I think the piano is such a beautiful instrument but then did not have the patients to continue with it. I love all types of music. I love classical, instrumentals, pop, alternative, dance and pretty much everything else too.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life. Without questioning the beliefs of the church or why we do what we do. It was not until I was older that I began to question the teachings of the church. It is no simple task to follow what the Lord has asked. It is very difficult sometimes to try to live up to everything that He wants us to do. For this reason there was a time in my life where I did not have a desire to attend church anymore. I wanted nothing to do with it because it was too overwhelming for me to handle. It was not for a while until the question why am I a Mormon became why I am a Mormon. Through learning and listening to the lessons in church with an open mind I began to see the bigger picture of everything. The reason I had these negative feelings was not because the Lord wanted me to feel restricted on everything I do but because I did not fully have a desire to step up to what has been asked of me. They were selfish thoughts. I soon learned that Heavenly Father has a greater knowledge than our temporal minds can comprehend. There is a greater purpose in life than what we can see now. For that reason I now understand that I must follow the gospel. I know that Heavenly Father lives and that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. I know he knows me personally and the struggles that I face in my life.I know that this church is the true church that the prophet Joseph Smith has restored. I know that He wants us to succeed and I know that by living the restored gospel, we can someday return to live with him for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do what the Lord has asked of me. I attend church every Sunday. I Pray often giving thanks as well as asking for certain blessings. I am kind to others by speaking kind words. I keep by body clean and avoiding harmful substances like tobacco or alcohol. I ask Heavenly father often for assistance in overcoming temptation.
