Hi I'm Michelle Hunsaker

I am a wife, mother of three wonderful kids, teach music lessons, and I love people! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being a wife and mother. I love spending time with my family and others. Whether it's conversations around the dinner table, playing board games, teaching my daughters a yummy recipe, hiking, or singing around the piano....we find happiness being together. Speaking of the piano, it's something that's brought lasting fulfillment to my life. I love music! Music helps create a loving, warm spirit in our home and fosters wonderful memories. I enjoy playing the piano and organ and composing music...and I love sharing music with others. As a teenager, I sometimes questioned my value. My mother taught me something immeasurable...."When you put the Lord first in your life, work hard, serve cheerfully, and learn new things, you gain self-worth!" My self-worth has been strengthened by developing the gifts Heavenly Father has given me. My true self-worth comes from a knowledge and testimony deep within, that I am loved by Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Sharing this love of the Savior with others is what brings my life real joy.

Why I am a Mormon

My Danish ancestors converted to the Mormon faith many generations ago. With great hardship and sacrifice, they immigrated to the United States so they could worship freely as Mormons. I am grateful to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( Mormons) and for what it teaches. I know Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are real personal, living Beings. I know the Savior atoned for our sins and died on our behalf, so that we may be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life. He lives! I have a testimony that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth and that a modern-day prophet called by the Lord leads our Church today.

How I live my faith

A way that I live my faith is by serving and helping others. Currently, I help out as a volunteer church organist on Sunday's. I love playing and singing the hymns because they teach me of the Savior. When I feel discouraged or doubt, I need only kneel down and pray, turn to the scriptures or a hymn and I feel the love and peace that comes from the Savior. Service brings my life joy because it helps me look outward. By giving of ourselves, I have found there is a two-fold blessing.....we learn to love others and see others as Christ does. Secondly, we become more grateful for blessings God has given us. Isn't that what life is about? To help lift and build one another up. When you look for the good in others, I'm convinced you will find it!
