Hi I'm Stacey

I'm a 24 year old female. I work in Law Enforcement. I'm attracted to members of the same sex, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a sister, two brothers and two half brothers. I grew up in a bad area in MD and I went to college in PA. I play cello, I love martial arts, I love science, I like to play video games with my siblings, I love shooting, and I own my own business.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon, but after Freshman year of College I stopped going for a while. I was having a hard time because I realized I like members of the same sex and at the time a lot of Members didn't have a good understanding or attitude toward homosexuality. Junior year I was off on my own, having a hard time, and I went back to church to a small branch. They treated me like family and even though there were only a couple people my age, I loved it. It made me happy and I felt at home. Around that time the Church came out with more information for members about those who are attracted to the same sex. It is the Church's stance that same-sex attraction is natural and that people don't really have control over it and that no one should be turned away or excluded and that as long as they follow the teachings of the Church, they should be accepted just as any member because they are just like any other member. I have a strong testimony of this church. It is rooted in the Book of Mormon. As I've started to read from the scriptures every day I become closer to God and I can see more blessings in my life. I know that He loves me just as much as He loves each and every one of His children. Going to church makes me happy, it brightens my mood and I know that the Mormon church is true. I would encourage you to read the Book of Mormon. It has made my life better and it has so many fascinating stories it's not difficult to read at all. I am a Mormon because through the LDS religion I can see God's influence in my life and in those around me.

How I live my faith

I am the Visiting Teaching Coordinator at my Ward, so I help organize the females meeting with and taking care of one another outside of church every month. It's a really cool calling and I belive it's really important. The area and Ward I live in is a high-transient area, some people have no family here so it's important they know they're cared for. I go to a Singles Ward which means: unmarried men and women between the ages of 18 and 29. It's lots of fun and we a lot of really cool activities together like flag football, beach trips, movies, and barbeques.
