Hi I'm Rob

I live in Salt Lake City Utah. I'm a husband, father, grandfather and business owner. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I am a husband of a beautiful wife, father of three children, and 6 grandchildren. I grew up in Utah in the United States and loved playing ice hockey. When I graduated high school I moved to Iowa to further pursue my hockey career however, I soon found out the real reason I moved to Iowa was to meet the most important person in my life and that would be my wife Sue. Sue and I were married and I continued to play hockey for a few years after which we found our way back to Utah. I gave up playing hockey and started focusing on officiating and coaching the game I loved. I coached for over 20 years at many levels youth, high school and college. I would have to say the highlight of my coaching was when I was asked to help coach Team USA at the World University Games in Innsbruck Austria in 2006. I eventually retired from coaching to focus more on my family, church and business. My wife and I enjoy traveling spending time with our grandchildren and I enjoy golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. However I was not converted to the gospel until I moved away from home. At that time I was not attending church, I then met my wife who was a member of another faith. As we discussed religion I started realizing truly how much the church meant to me. My wife took the discussions from the missionaries and through the teachings of the missionaries the spirit told my wife and I that the church was true. I'm grateful that the church was restored and that we have a living prophet and apostles. Being a member of the church is like having a road map in your life. We have the teachings of the scriptures the commandments and the teachings from a living prophet and apostles to show us the way. I know that I have a loving Savior who died for me so I can be forgiven for my mistakes. I know that through the blessings of the temple that I can be with my wife and family eternally.

How I live my faith

I love to read the scriptures, pray for myself, family and also those around me, I also love to listen to church hymns. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ we are asked to serve in various church callings. Oh how blessed I have been in serving in many different callings; I'm currently serving as Bishop in my ward and I've served as a youth leader, scout leader, teacher and in many different leadership positions. What a blessing this has been in my life as I serve I really can say that I have a stronger relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ.
