Hi I'm Spencer Allred

I grew up in American Fork UT. I am currently a full time Missionary, serving in the Iowa Des Moines Mission.

About Me

I recently graduated from AFHS. I am currently serving in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. I am the oldest of 5 boys, and no sisters. I am an Eagle Scout. I play Lacrosse. I love to camp, boat, and travel. I have been to 32 States and continue to try to visit more.

Why I am a Mormon

I know it, I live it and I love it. I am a Mormon because it is more than a religion to me, it has become a lifestyle. I am happier because of the choices I make and the standards I keep. I know that being a Mormon is the best decission I have made. I know that this church is true, and that the Prophet Joseph Smith DID translate the Book of Mormon. I know that, that book is true and is a companion to the bible. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that through him all men can be saved. I know that his influence in my life has made me a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith, really by everything I do. I am not just a Christian on Sundays, but on everyday of the week. My life is a reflection of my faith. As of now I am a Missionary in Des Moines Iowa. Everyday people see me, tag and all. Everyday I stand as an example of the way that Christ wants us to live. I live my faith by sharing it. I love President Kimballs statement: "My life is like my Shoes, to be worn out in the service of the Lord" Thats how I live my faith.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Spencer Allred
No. We recognize him as Gods first latter-day Prophet and translator of the Book of Mormon, which is the key stone of our religion. We worship God the Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Spencer Allred
It is the key stone to our religion. It is the record of the people in the Americas before and during the time of Christ. It is not a replacment of the Bible but a partnership to it. The Bible and the Book of Mormon work hand in hand when teaching and understanding the gospel. Show more Show less
