Hi I'm Shaun Schofield

I am a missionary right now serving in Mexico City, Mexico. I grew up in Utah.

About Me

Im a missionary for the Church and I love it. I am serving in Mexico City for 2 years. I have a year in the mission right now. I have seen the blessings of the gospel in a lot of peoples lives. I have a testimony of every thing in the Church. I know that it is all true. I love to play golf and any kind of sport. I plan to go and be a doctor after my mission and go to college at BYU. I cant live my life without the gospel cause it is my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have lived in the gospel my whole life and it has helped me stay clean and away from the worldly things. I'm glad I grew up in the gospel because I think it made my family closer and all of us love one another more. There is no reason why I would ever leave His church. I have prayed and know for myself. I prayed to Heavenly Father and he told me that this church is true with my feelings. I felt really good when I asked him and my heart started to burn but not a hurting burn a nice and peaceful burn that you feel so good that you just want to always have that feeling.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary in Mexico City. I wake up every morning thinking about why I am here in this life and what I can do to help out other people to find out why they are here. I teach and I learn during every second here in Mexico. I show my faith through my example and later through my words. I try and live so people will know that I am a representative of the Savior Jesus Christ. I help people to know that in the church we dont swear or say bad words. So I do that thing. I never swear and I help people to do the same. Mostly living my faith is helping others to know about the truth and have happiness.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

Shaun Schofield
Churches are meeting buildings where we go every Sunday to take the sacrament. We go there to help us feel the Spirit and renew covenants that we have done in the past like baptism. In temples those are the houses of the Lord. We make covenants with God in temples and it helps us to make sacred promises that last forever not just for this life. Also we do covenants for people that have died. We help them escape their prison because they need to be baptized and do all the other covenants to be able to live with God. So we help them receive these ordenances. Show more Show less
