Hi I'm Brandon Bentley

I grew up in Taylorsville Utah, I love to play football, I am currently serving a mission in Culiacan Mexico, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports, go and do fun new things, I love to read and I enjoy spending time in the mountains. I played Football, Basketball, Track & Field in high school, I wrestled a little bit, so I just love sports in general, but to me football is the best. I have recently been interested in ballroom dancing even though I would never have thought that I would do that before haha. I completed my eagle scout requirements and am now an eagle scout after many years of work, because of scouting I learned to love the mountains and all wildlife created by gods hand. I started piano when I was 8 and I hated every bit of it. I am now grateful that I learned it and persevered through it so now I am able to play very well. I am an average person that likes to play hard songs but not play professionally. Overall I love many different things which makes me a pretty well rounded person.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very fortunate to be born and raised in the church. Just because I was accustomed to it from birth, didn't hinder me from searching for myself. Just because my parents believed it, does that mean that I have to as well. For me, yes I did believe my parents. They are righteous people who have learned for themselves that this church is true. Of course I didn't just want to learn what they were learning, because everyone learns differently. So through my life I would build from others testimonies while reading the bible and book of Mormon. For me, I already knew that I was doing and participating in the true restored church of Christ, but I needed to build, and cement my own testimony of Christ and his teachings in these latter days.

How I live my faith

Because of my scouting experience, I have learned the same values from scouting to when I go to church. Being trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent are what makes people be happy, which is what the church does. Service is a great part to my role in life, and through my scouting service projects, my friends in the church, and my fellow seminary council members, I have contributed in many food drives, projects in rebuilding, yard maintaining over the years. Seminary council was a calling in which I would look after the members that were in school, and see how they are doing everyday whether in school or at seminary.
