Hi I'm Calleen

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I'm mom, grandma, 2nd grade teacher and love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have five grown children and 9 beautiful grandchildren. During most of the year I teach 2nd grade. During the summer I spend lots of time with my family. I enjoy playing the piano and cello. I love to make baby quilts for friends and family members.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I love my Savior and want to serve Him in any way I possible can while here upon the earth. I have been greatly blessed and show my love for Him by serving others.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church in whatever way I'm needed. It seems like no matter what I'm asked to do or how challenging it may be I soon develope a great love for my calling, whatever it happens to be at that time.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

As you learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ, you may experience feelings of peace, comfort, or happiness. Some have expressed that they feel a familiarity with the truths they are being taught and feel as though they are coming home. You are feeling the influence of the Holy Ghost telling you that what you are learning is true. If you have a desire to follow Christ’s teachings and obey His commandments, you are first encouraged to participate in a series of discussions that will introduce you to basic principles of His gospel. Then, when you are ready, you can become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by receiving the ordinance of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins by one having authority who after the baptism lays their hands upon your head, confirms you a member of the Church and then pronounces a blessing upon you that you may receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (see Acts 8:18-20).
