Hi I'm Whitney Jenkins

I grew up in Utah, I love animals and creating art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have spent the last two years going to school at Utah State University, GO AGGIES! One week from today however I am going to begin my mission in Washington. I enjoy a lot of things especially music, art, and nature. I play soccer, I lifeguard and love to swim and go boating. I don't mind getting in the mud and getting a little rough sometimes. I am fortunate to have a lot of great friends and family, and I love spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, but I like every other person of my faith had to be converted as well. It wasn't until I was nearly done with High School that I gained a real testimony of the truth of His gospel and a while after that for it to grow into something substantial. I'm a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is a record of true events and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ knows me and loves me and died for me. I know because I have felt the truth of such things so much to the point that there was absolutely no denying it. I have felt the spirit bear witness to me and I have seen the happiness, the TRUE and lasting happiness that this gospel brings into peoples' lives if they but live by its truths.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live by its teachings. I try my hardest not to judge others, and to be Christlike in all my human interactions. I don't always succeed but I'm working on it. I go to church every Sunday I can and I read often from the book of Mormon. I don't drink alcohol, coffee, or tea. I don't smoke, or partake of any illegal substances. I am chaste and generous. I look for opportunities to help people everyday. I struggle and make mistakes a lot but I lick my wounds and I try again. Finally, in one week I begin my mission of the Lord. He has called me to serve the people of Tacoma Washington for 18 months. I look forward to doing my best.
