Hi I'm Jake Green

I live in Utah. I love all sports and music. I am currently serving an LDS mission in England London. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am on a mission in the Endland London Mission. I love football (soccer), Swim Team, Cross Country, Rugby, and love Rock Climbing! I love all music! Home Town: Lehi, Utah. I am apart of the "Wave" of 18 year old missionaries. If I had to tell you my sort of personality I wouldn't be able to. My personality is just crazy and love having fun. I am always full of energy and love being happy and laughing. I love bright colours and usually wear neon clothes with a side of mismatch and the only shoes that will do are moccasins. I love talking to people and love people! I even love talking to random people and having conversations with them. I found the things of this church are true when I was 15 when I went to a church held organization/activity called "Especially for Youth". At this activity I was hit with the spirit so strong I couldn't deny it. I decided I wanted to serve a mission at that point. I realized that this church has the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Baptized when I was 8. At the age of 15 I came to know that this church is the true church on the earth! I am a Mormon because I know what I am doing on this earth. Where I am going. I am a Mormon because of my testimony. I also know and love following the prophet Thomas S. Monson, and totally support him! I know that Jesus Christ Atoned for our sins and broke the bands of death so that we may return to our Heavenly Father. I know that we can be with families forever and ever.It is such a satisfying feeling knowing I am sealed with my family for eternity. I also know that the Priesthood that we hold can help everyone's lives when they are in a time of need. Our church is the church that has that power/authority to act in God's name with that priesthood. I can also trace my priesthood authority all the way back to Jesus Christ himself. I know for 101% that our Heavenly Father loves us! I know I love him. I know he wants us to return to him. I know that this is the way to be clean and return to him. This isnt just a religion but it is a life style to be able to return to our Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

I love sharing the things I come to know are true with as many people as possible! I talk to people all day and see how I can help them! I study everyday and learn new things. I get to help lots of people out all the time! Service is key. I love talking with the members and making new friends. I love praying and teaching so much about the gospel, and how much it means to me. Before I came out I was on Seminary council and 1st assistant in priest quorum. I also served in a youth stake callings as The President of the Stake Youth Commitee! I love being able to change peoples lives for the better. I love knowing that I am a tool in the hands of the Lord! "I am leaving my family for 2 years to help families be together for Eternity!" I make sure to be able to have a smile on my face to everyone I come in contact with and try my best to make them happy. I dont force anyone to learn the things I learn but instead I invite them!

What is being a Mormon like?

Jake Green
Being Mormon isn't just a club or a cool name. To me it isn't a religion. It is a life style. It is the way we live day to day life doing what we have been taught. We follow the commandments to be able to keep safe. It isn't just for God to tell us what to do but it is how we can be safe and blessed. As a Mormon we have the gift of the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) to be constant companion with us to help us with decisions and to keep us out of danger. It is a big part on why we have so much joy. If we live the commandments we can have that Holy Ghost to be there with us at all times, as long as we are worthy of it's presence. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Jake Green
Having a hope for something you cannot see. It is something you don't need to see to believe it's something you know from personal experience. Something we grow with and will grow with us. It is what causes us to act. Show more Show less
