Hi I'm Myra

I'm Singaporean, Accounting major, missionary, and Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Singapore, surrounded by greenery, cleanliness, and amazing food. I love discovering new places to eat with my friends, and reading till morning. My parents were both converts and both served missions. I'm a student at BYU and majoring in Accounting, but I have currently put my studies on hold to serve a mission in Australia!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, with parents who were faithful and able in teaching me the Gospel. They practiced courageous parenting and that has prevented me from becoming a wayward kid. Their example in keeping the commandments of the Church gave me the motivation to seek my own personal testimony. I became more valiant in my study of the Book of Mormon, and gradually received a witness of the truth in it. I didn't get a dramatic witness of the book, but I did feel my testimony of it strengthen with daily reading, to the point where I knew for myself that the teachings and doctrine in it were true. I have felt Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for me many times, especially when I was living far away from home while at college. I have felt His redeeming love and Atonement work in my life, and I know that Christ truly is our Savior.

How I live my faith

I have had quite a few callings, especially when I was at BYU. The list includes organizing activities for our women's group, finding ways to provide humanitarian aid for the community and/or ward, and being a ward missionary. Right now, I have been called to be a missionary in the Australia Brisbane mission, and I am excited to dedicate my life to the Lord's work for the next 1.5 years.
