Hi I'm Dylan Pope

I'm a college student and soon to be missionary. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished high school and will be attending Brigham Young University in 2016 after serving a full-time mission in Sacramento California. I like to be involved and keep myself busy. I was the drum major for my high school marching band and the student senate vice-president. I work a part-time job at the local grocery store. I like spending time with my family and friends, and serving others!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church so it's all I've ever known. But that doesn't mean everything came easily for me. I too had to become converted. I learned many things growing up but they didn't become real until I actually lived through them. Once you begin to experience the things you learn, everything becomes so much clearer. Everything makes more sense. You begin to understand why there are things like standards and expectations. My experiences have been enough for me to want to be better. And that "better" that I was looking for were only found through the teachings of the church and following the commandments of the Lord. I found the way to happiness through obedience. And I am very satisfied with that. So satisfied that I want to share the gospel with those I come in contact with. That's why I am a Mormon. Because nothing makes me happier than the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by preparing to serve a full-time mission. I will be serving in the California Sacramento Mission, Cambodian speaking. I'm very excited to serve the people of Sacramento by leaving my life behind and fully immersing myself in the gospel and serving others. In the mean time, I try to do my best by attending church weekly and serving as a home teacher. Both have been very rewarding. Being a member of the church has been a great blessing to me.
