Hi I'm Conner Mount

I'm a missionary. I'm serving in Manaus Brazil. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently 18 years old and embarking on a mission to Manaus, Brazil for the church. I have two brothers (ages 16 and 4) and two sisters (ages 13 and 10). I played basketball and tennis in high school, and also was involved with robotics clubs at my school. When I return from my mission, I plan on attending Georgia Tech and pursuing a degree and career in Mechanical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

My family members are all members of the church, so I grew up in our faith. I pretty much just went along with what my parents said, and I had a couple of neat spiritual experiences along the way, but it wasn't until my decision to serve a mission that my faith was really challenged. I had been accepted to Georgia Tech, I knew who I was rooming with, and then I heard that I could serve a mission at the age of 18 (It had previously been 19). I really didn't want to leave, but one night I said a prayer and got an overwhelming answer that I needed to serve a mission. It really strengthened my testimony that this church is true, and I know I have been called to do this work.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission for the church, and after training in Provo I'll be sent to Manaus, Brazil. I'll be spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ there, and serving the people of Manaus. I'm super excited to get started, and I know it's the right choice for me!
